Just a short update: Troy is working on the interior walls – should be finished this week. As soon as I get some new pics I’ll post them.
I’ve started working on the details: Making plans for the bathrooms and similar things. I would like to use all that nice stuff from Schlüter-Systems (see: www.schluter.com) for the bathroom and the tile laying. They really make great stuff if you want tiles in a mainly wooden house.
Had some trouble finding the right lightning for the house. It seems that the European lightning equipment the architects use over here is pure luxury in Canada and the US. I’d checked for lamps from Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen (www.louispoulsen.com) and they costs double the money in NA than in Europe – woosh. We’ll try to use Erco light tracks (www.erco.com) – hopefully we do not get bankrupt with this idea 😉 A guy from a German light manufacturer told us that we should use the German lamps and just use Canadian bulbs – I’m not sure if that will work…
Christmas is coming at lightning speed this year – and we didn’t had the time to send christmas cards yet. So next weekend we will have a lot of work to do!
Oh – and some picts for our Canadian hockey friends – meet the youngest ones of the Ratingen Ice Aliens:
