David’s planting new trees
Today we did the final landscaping: David Jordan planted a couple of new trees and shrubs. We now have a couple of nice birches along the brook and a very good looking new maple “forest”. Me and the kids built a very cool treehouse with excellent views out on Gegogan Bay.

Now he is a big boy: Neil had birthday today and got a really huge Spiderman birthday cake. In the evening Amanda and Troy and the kids dropped by and we had a fine barbecue.

My first night in the new house
After our container finally was unloaded I set-up my bed and slept the first night in the new house. That was really great – I woke up at 5:30 in the morning and the sun was rising over the bay. One of the lobster fishers was out on the bay and checked his traps. It …

Today I arrived at the house in Gegogan and I was really suprised! Troy and his team really made great progress. The flooring is nearly finished and most of the trims and baseboard is in place either. It really looks great! Even if it’s still cold in Nova Scotia the gras is growing and I …
Container released
This morning I went to the customs again and our container was finally released. After the paperwork was done (one thing I really like about Europe: You can go where ever you want without customs…) I had to pay $ 392,52 taxes and duty for just bringing in two new things – a cabinet and …

That’s crazy: Google Streetview
I guess everybody has heard about Google’s Streetview – Google’s new toy where you can zoom in the streets and look around? A minute ago I found out that they already have pictures available for Highway 7 and Sherbrooke. And while I was looking at the Village Coffee Grind I thought – mhmm I know …
